NPI Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated NPI Engineer to lead the introduction of new products into manufacturing and ensure smooth transition from development to mass
production. This role requires strong technical, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Agile
ERP/Priority systems, product lifecycle management, and production floor processes.
Key Responsibilities
Product Introduction
– Manage NPI processes from prototype through production ramp-up. – Lead pilot builds and pre-production runs to validate manufacturability. – Implement and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs).
Documentation & Control
– Create and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly drawings, and production documentation. – Define and manage part numbers (PNs), catalogs, and labels. – Ensure compliance with ISO and industry manufacturing standards.
Manufacturing Support
– Collaborate with manufacturing sites and production floor teams. – Develop and maintain work and assembly instructions. – Monitor production processes, ensuring alignment with design intent.
Testing & Quality
– Support testing processes, including ATE (Automated Test Equipment). – Drive QA/QC activities, ensuring compliance with Certificates of Conformance (CoC). – Familiarity with certifications and compliance such as FCC, CE, EMC.
Supply Chain & Vendor Management
– Partner with supply chain and vendors for material readiness and production support. – Manage component lifecycle, including EOL (End-of-Life) tracking with tools such Silicon Expert. – Experience with PCB technology considerations and component selection including IPC standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience: – 3–7 years in NPI, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering. – Proven experience in Agile ERP and Priority systems. – Strong background in BOM management,
documentation control, and ECO/MCO processes. – Hands-on experience with PCB technologies, component management, and compliance standards. – Familiarity with ISO,
QA/QC, supply chain, and vendor management. Skills: – Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. – Ability to translate engineering requirements into scalable
manufacturing processes. – Clear communication across engineering, supply chain, and production teams.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
