Role Overview
We are seeking a Validation & Verification Engineer with a strong background in electronics engineering to join our hardware team. The engineer will be responsible for testing
and validating both hardware and software at the low level, with a focus on low-power, battery-based products. The role requires a multidisciplinary skillset, spanning hardware,
software, and test automation, and will involve direct reporting to the Director of Hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute validation and verification tests for hardware and embedded software.
- Conduct low-level hardware testing of components, PCBs, and systems for power efficiency, functionality, and performance including validate batteries and power management performance in real-world scenarios
- Perform environmental and compliance testing to ensure product robustness and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Operate and use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector signal analyzers (VSA).
- Develop test automation frameworks and automated test stations using Python to accelerate and scale testing.
- Invent and explore new testing methods to cover unique validation scenarios and push product reliability.
- Document test procedures, maintain logs, and prepare detailed test reports and validation protocols.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and firmware teams to ensure seamless validation coverage.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- 2–5 years of experience in hardware validation, verification, and testing (junior and senior profiles may be considered).
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VSAs, and other lab instruments.
- Strong knowledge of low-power, battery-based product design and validation methods.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, firmware, and software integration testing.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation and data analysis.
- Practical hands-on skills in soldering, rework, and assembly of electronic components and prototypes.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and adapt to different testing methodologies.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C, BLE, Wi-Fi, etc.).
- Familiarity with quality and validation standards (IEC, ISO, FCC, CE, or similar).
- Exposure to automation frameworks and CI/CD for hardware/software validation.
- Conducting ECO/MCO.
