System HW Engineer

Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and support board design activities performed by subcontractors (reviews, guidance, quality checks); in the future, may take responsibility for board development and circuit design in-house.
· Drive system-level integration, ensuring smooth interaction between hardware, firmware, mechanical, and validation teams.
· Manage and review the work of subcontractors, both in electronics and mechanics, including design reviews and technical oversight.
· Define hardware test requirements and guide the validation team; also perform hands-on validation and debugging (including EVBs and prototypes).
· Provide technical evaluations and recommendations for product architecture and component selection (processors, communication modules, batteries, sensors, etc.).
· Support customer-related hardware issues and propose effective solutions.
· Collaborate across disciplines (HW, SW, mechanics, manufacturing, testing) to deliver high-quality products.
· Lead and manage compliance and certification processes (FCC, CE, Safety, environmental testing, and global regulatory).
Requirements
· 5–10 years of proven experience in hardware engineering, including hardware/firmware integration and multidisciplinary product development including reviewing, evaluating, and integrating components and modules into complex systems.
· Hands-on experience in PCB design reviews, manufacturing processes, and component selection.
· Strong multidisciplinary knowledge across electronics, firmware, mechanics, manufacturing, and testing.
· Experience with wireless communication protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi).
· Knowledge and experience with compliance and certifications, including FCC, CE, Safety, environmental testing, and global regulatory requirements; ability to lead certification processes.
· Strong debugging, validation, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to define test strategies and validation requirements for hardware.
· Open-minded, highly motivated, proactive, and detail oriented.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
