Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our Finance team and take full ownership of the company’s day-to-day financial operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate timely reporting, compliance with both Israeli and US GAAP, and maintaining smooth financial workflows across a multidisciplinary hardware and software global organization. The Controller will manage a small, growing team and work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to deliver timely, reliable and meaningful financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the bookkeepers and payroll functions.
- Oversee the full accounting cycle—daily bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end, quarterly and year-end closings.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports prepared for management and regulatory authorities.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls, processes, and reporting standards across all entities.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition practices; manage cost accounting for hardware, software, and landed costs.
- Maintain clean and accurate GL records; oversee payroll accounting and compliance.
- Lead the preparation of audited financial statements and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Supervise bank reconciliations and cash reports, accounts payable/receivable processes, partner with teams on collections and aging analysis
- Work hands-on with Priority ERP and ensure proper system use, processes optimization and data accuracy.
- Monitor compliance with local and international financial regulations (Israel, the US and more).
- Coordinate VAT, WHT, U.S. Sales & Use Tax filings and payroll tax compliance.
- Support decision-making with analytical insights and maintain transparency across financial operations.
- Collaborate with management to optimize procedures, improve efficiency, and support international growth initiatives.
- Maintain a best-in-class data room with complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation to support due diligence, fundraising, and strategic transactions
Requirements
- CPA or equivalent certification required.
- 5–8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including at least one post-internship position as a Controller.
- Strong preference for candidates coming from Big 4 accounting firms and VC-backed / public company controller role
- Proven experience in hardware-related industries, including: Import/export accounting, Tariff and customs, Inventory management and valuation, Landed cost calculations and alike
- Proven experience in SaaS business models, including: Revenue recognition for subscription-based services, SaaS KPIs such as MRR, ARR, LTV, CAC, and churn, Understanding of deferred revenue and contract accounting
- In-depth knowledge of both Israeli and US GAAP standards.
- Proven experience working with Priority – must
- Proven experience working with Dokka, Mesh or similar tools – strong advantage
- Familiarity with BI tools and systems integrations is an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
