Role Overview
The Smart Carts Implementation Specialist is responsible for the successful deployment and integration of smart shopping cart technology within retail environments. This role involves coordinating with retailers, technology providers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth implementation, configuration, and operation of smart cart solutions. The Specialist acts as a key liaison between stakeholders, providing technical expertise, training, and support throughout the deployment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
· Plan, coordinate, and manage the end-to-end implementation of smart carts in retail locations.
· Develop detailed project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology vendors, store management, and IT departments.
- Technical Deployment:
· Configure and set up smart carts, including software installation, hardware integration, and network connectivity.
· Test and troubleshoot smart cart systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
· Monitor system performance post-deployment and address any technical issues promptly.
- Training and Support:
· Train store employees and managers on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of smart carts.
· Develop user manuals, guides, and training materials.
· Provide ongoing technical support and address customer feedback regarding smart cart usage.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
· Act as the primary point of contact for retailers during the implementation process.
· Collect and communicate retailer requirements to the technology provider.
· Provide regular updates to all stakeholders on project status and resolution of issues.
- Performance Monitoring:
· Evaluate the performance and adoption of smart carts post-implementation.
· Identify opportunities for system improvements and upgrades.
· Analyze usage data and provide insights to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Requirements
· 2-4 years of experience in retail technology implementation, IT project management, or a related role.
· Strong technical knowledge of hardware and software systems, including IoT and retail POS systems.
· Proven experience with troubleshooting and technical support.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:
This role may involve both office-based work and on-site activities at retail locations, including hands-on setup and troubleshooting of smart cart technology. Flexibility to travel is essential.
