Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative for the Americas, you will be the engine room of our regional growth.
Working closely with the Head of Sales for the Americas, you will focus on identifying, engaging, and qualifying new grocery retail opportunities across North America and Latin America. This role is about creating momentum, opening doors, and building the early-stage pipeline that turns into pilots, proofs of value, and long-term partnerships.
This is not a passive lead-following role. You will be expected to think commercially, understand retail challenges, and engage key stakeholders with intelligent, relevant conversations. For the right individual, this role offers a clear path into an Account Executive or Sales Manager position as the region scales.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively identify and research target grocery retailers across the US, Canada, Mexico, and LATAM
• Execute outbound prospecting campaigns via email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry networks
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads against defined ICP criteria
• Book high-quality discovery meetings and hand over qualified opportunities to the Head of Sales
• Support early-stage deal progression by assisting with research, account mapping, and stakeholder analysis
• Maintain accurate and disciplined CRM hygiene, ensuring all activity and pipeline data is up to date
• Collaborate closely with marketing on regional campaigns, events, and account-based initiatives
• Develop a strong understanding of Cust2Mate’s solution, value proposition, and use cases in grocery retail
• Provide structured feedback from the field on market trends, objections, and competitor activity
• Represent Cust2Mate professionally in early customer interactions and industry conversations
Requirements
• 1–3 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial roles, preferably in SaaS or retail technology
• Fluent in English and Spanish, professional proficiency required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable speaking with senior retail stakeholders
• High level of curiosity and coachability, with a genuine interest in technology and retail transformation
• Resilient mindset, comfortable with outbound prospecting and rejection
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving processes
• Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot is a plus
• CVs should be sent in English
Preferred Background
• Exposure to grocery retail, CPG, retail operations, or in-store technology
• Experience selling into enterprise or mid-market accounts
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is advantageous
• Previous titles may include: Sales Development Representative, Business Development Associate, Commercial Analyst
